What is a picosecond laser?
Picofy delivers pulses measured in picoseconds. These short pulses produce a photoacoustic effect that breaks targeted pigment into smaller particles for gradual clearance. The provider selects the wavelength and treatment approach for the pigment or concern.

Is my tattoo or pigmentation suitable?
Tattoo color, density, depth, and age influence the plan and expected number of sessions. Pigmentation needs assessment before laser treatment because different causes of discoloration require different approaches. Your provider also considers skin tone and your medical history.

It depends on ink color, depth, density, age, and your response. The team assesses the tattoo before estimating a treatment course.
Is Picofy only for tattoo removal?
No. The practice also uses Picofy for selected pigmentation concerns and fractional skin revitalization.
Can any dark spot be treated with Picofy?
No. Your provider needs to identify the cause of the pigmentation and determine whether laser treatment is appropriate before treating it.
