What is EmpowerRF?
EmpowerRF is a platform, not a single procedure. The technologies work differently and should not be assumed to treat the same symptoms. Your consultation starts with the concern you are experiencing and identifies an appropriate plan.
VTone for weak pelvic floor muscles
VTone uses intravaginal electrical muscle stimulation to produce contractions and support neuromuscular re-education. It is used for weak pelvic floor muscles and stress, urge, or mixed urinary incontinence when clinically appropriate.
FormaV controlled heating
FormaV delivers radiofrequency heating with temperature monitoring. The goals include local circulation, muscle relaxation, and temporary relief of minor muscle discomfort. It is distinct from pelvic floor muscle stimulation.
Morpheus8V fractional RF
Morpheus8V combines microneedling and fractional RF to create controlled coagulation in targeted tissue. It is a more invasive approach than surface heating or muscle stimulation. Your provider explains the intended treatment area, potential benefits, risks, and alternatives.
What does the consultation cover?
Discuss symptoms, childbirth or hormonal changes, medical history, and prior care privately with the clinical team. The assessment determines whether one of these technologies is appropriate or whether another form of evaluation or care is needed.
Treatment course and recovery
The team may recommend a series and may select one technology or a combination. Recovery and activity restrictions differ between VTone, FormaV, and Morpheus8V. Read the EmpowerRF care guide and follow the instructions for your actual procedure rather than assuming all three have the same downtime.

Are FormaV and Morpheus8V the same as VTone?
No. VTone uses muscle stimulation. FormaV uses controlled RF heating, and Morpheus8V combines microneedling with fractional RF. Their purposes and recovery instructions differ.
